Meet the Team

ANDREW WIMBLE

Andrew joined Kleinwort Benson in 1998.  He is a senior private banker advising UK based private clients, their families and charities in the management of their financial affairs.  He works especially close with entrepreneurs who have recently sold their businesses.

Andrew has worked in the City for over 27 years; prior to joining Kleinwort Benson he worked for six years as a discretionary fund manager for ANZ Grindlays Bank. Beforehand Andrew was a US equity stockbroker with Merrill Lynch, where he qualified as a Registered Representative on the New York Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange and US National Commodity Futures.  He began his financial career with seven years as an insurance broker specialising in space related risks with Marsh & McLennan.

Immediately after school he was commissioned into the Royal Green Jackets and qualified as a commercial pilot.  Andrew is a trustee and head of the investment committee of a number of military charities.

REBECCA CONSTABLE

Rebecca joined Kleinwort Benson in April 2007 having spent 17 years advising private clients at BZW / Barclays.  She spent eight years running discretionary equity based portfolios for private clients, charities and trusts, obtaining a Securities Institute Diploma and is now a Fellow of the Securities Institute.  She became a private banker with Barclays Private Bank and was a Director of the Senior Executives Team specialising in advising main board directors of quoted companies on wealth management issues. 

She was actively involved in product development and the introduction of alternative asset classes such as hedge funds, property and private equity into client portfolios.  She has also focussed on tax efficient investments. 

She was chair of the Wealth for Women initiative at Barclays Wealth, organising events to assist clients in maximising the opportunities their wealth presents, focussing on philanthropy, the demands of owner/managers, and assisting the next generation.  She graduated from Bristol University in 1988 with a BSc in Zoology.

JOE DAVIES

Joe joined Kleinwort Benson in April 2006.  He is a senior private banker advising UK based private clients and their families in the management of their financial affairs.  Joe works closely with entrepreneurs both pre and post sale of their businesses.

Joe has worked within the financial services industry for over 25 years many of those in the city of London. Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson he worked within the hedge fund industry after a period with Coutts Private Bank.

Joe is married with two daughters and his interests revolve around sport and politics.

KIRSTIN SLOAN

Kirstin provides full administrative support to the private bankers based in Kleinwort Benson’s regional office in Newbury. She is the link between the advice being given to the client and its implementation by Kleinwort Benson and is an important point of contact for clients. She works closely with her colleagues in London and the other regional offices.

Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, Kirstin was a Business Manager at consulting engineering company Scott Wilson where she obtained a Business Management HNC.

Kirstin also has experience in travel and tourism and the retail industry having spent a number of years working for Thomson Holidays as an Overseas Guest Services Manager and for Marks & Spencer as a Sales Manager.

Julie Brine

Julie provides full PA and secretarial support to the Newbury team.

Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, Julie was a New Business Co-ordinator at Close Invoice Finance for 4 years, and previous to that she worked at Vodafone as a Team Secretary.She enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and their King Charles Spaniel.
